Uni Games

Last week Alex went up to watch some of the uni games, including the Ultimate Frisbee and 7-a-side rugby.

Apparently the excitement was all too much and a sleep was needed on the way home in the car.

Visit to hospital

Alex has been really sick, spending a day up at casualty with really high temperatures and an infection.

Day 1 looking a bit sad and sorry.

Day 2 back to more of his usual singing, clapping self.

A few days of IV antibiotic treatment and hopefully all will be back to normal for Alex.

Didn't look too sick last night when we had a visitor who could play the harmonica for him!

Alex's Christmas Cards.

Alex has been working on making stamps for an order of Christmas cards. Here is a selection of his card designs. He'll probably start taking orders once this consignment is completed, around September. We'll post more designs as they are done.

If you are interested in going on a mailing list to be notified when his cards are available to order, please send your email address to: stroevey@y7mail.com

Alex's 19th Birthday

Better late than never... some birthday photos.

Alex had his 19th with some family and friends at Jack Duggans Irish pub, where everyone is always so nice to him.

He's looking pretty trendy these days with heaps of scarves people gave him for his birthday.

More market days

Alex has held two more market stalls this past month, one at the university Market Day...
...and the other at the Lions Fleamarket in town. He's getting the hang of going to work and meeting people while he's there. He's sold more paintings and cards and is having a good time doing it.

Holidays at the Beach

Alex has just come back from a trip away up the coast to North Haven. He's had the chance to swim at the beach, something he really enjoys, and has enjoyed the company of some good family friends (his other family) while there.

Move over Kandinsky

Alex has been making a new bunch of paintings for his next markets:

The 'collaborartists' will be busy this week making new cards from Alex's stamped art work.

Post Script:
Alex had a successful stall at the monthly Lions Club Markets in Kings Parade, where he sold another 5 art works and quite a few of his cards.

St Patricks Day

Alex has been enjoying some Irish music in town so it was a given that he'd be out & about on St Patrick's Day. First we listened to the music at Shanahan's over dinner, then moved on to Jack Duggan's and joined the crowd that spilled out onto the footpath.

Another night, another pub. Dinner at the Knickerbocker sees him furthering his quest to visit every pub in town.

Sofala Show

Alex had a happy and successful day at his first art stall.

He sold 5 paintings (that's 4 more than Van Gogh during his lifetime!!) as well as cards, wooden candle holders and key rings and attracted a steady flow of interested customers to his stall.

We were interviewed about the stall and even filmed while there, so it was an interesting day out.
