Alex's holiday on the south coast

We've just returned from a quick trip to the south coast, to beautiful Vincentia, to spend time with our good friends there.

It was great catching up with everyone and Alex had a great time exploring our friends' new house with wonderful views of Jervis Bay.

The trip there was quite long, but Alex was happy enough to stop at Maccas in Goulburn for lunch.

We had a morning at the beach. Alex got smashed by a few waves, but that was apparently quite enjoyable. Used to swimming at home in a 28 degree pool, 19 degrees got the shivering going pretty quickly. A bit of sunning on the beach was very welcome though.

We had some good walks around the foreshores.

Then we moved on up the coast to stay with another friend at Gerringong.
Alex enjoys his musical household. We explored the local shops, bought some new Tshirts at a great surf shop there.

Woody the dog was a big hit. He's only ever still for a tummy rub.
We explored the local shops, bought some new Tshirts at a great surf shop there and visited the beach at Gerroa. Too cool a day for Alex to want to swim, but his brother had his first board-riding lesson. Plenty of board chasing, anyway.

Finally, there was a quick visit to Kiama and the blow hole (which wasn't blowing much) before we said our goodbyes and travelled back home.

Alex enjoyed the variety of experiences, especially "sleeping in a holiday bed" and will no doubt look forward to a few other trips we're planning now, after the success of this one.

Collages for January Markets

Alex has just finished stamping for the January Family Markets at the showground.
Here are some of the latest CollaborArt collages of his work.

Post Script: Alex sold 6 collaged art works on Sunday.

Getting Adventurous

It's been great to see Alex branching out a little and having a go at eating the food at cafes and restaurants he's been out to.

He ate a great pizza at one of our local restaurants.

He's tucked into hot chips, both at Maccas and at pubs and cafes.

And he's eaten toasted cheese sandwiches at friends' places and at local cafes.

He's not quite at the stage of ordering a pepper steak, but it's good to see him experimenting even a little.
