Canberra

We recently took a quick trip to Canberra to check out where Alex's brother may
be going to uni next year. Alex enjoyed looking around Canberra, ANU campus, Black Mountain Tower and Parliament House.

Highlights included:

  • saying "Cannnn-brah" loudly and repeatedly in Peter Harvey style.
  • the fountain at ANU which was very satisfyingly bubbly
  • setting off all the metal detectors at Parliament House, and, of course
  • sleeping in a "holiday bed", a perennial favourite!
Parental highlights included... (and there's a theme to it):
  • Raiding mini bar
  • Sampling Canberra wines
  • Wine in supermarket
On our tour of ANU campus. "Cannnnn-brah"

Leafy campus. Cricket match under way.

Great fountain!

Sculptures in CBD

View from Black Mountain Tower. We were impressed that Alex was not charged admission till we got to the top and found the viewing platform is inaccessible anyway :(

Tired at Parliament House. Enjoyed the metal detectors going crazy about the wheelchair but relatively unimpressed with the whole seat of power thing.

Wow, amazing blog layout! How long have you ever been blogging for? you made blogging look easy. The full glance of your web site is excellent, as neatly as the content!

Hi Alex. I got an awesome card in the mail from my mum this week..When I googled the blog site on the back of the card it brought me to your site. My card is a picture of an elephant with a balloon tied to his trunk...I love it so much I've put a little frame round it... Thank you :-)

From another Alex in Western Australia.
